Member Benefits

The Youth Sports Collaborative Network (YSCN) has launched a special Fall Membership Campaign! Any nonprofit or for profit that joins during August - October of 2022 will have their 12 month membership extended through December 2023.

By your organization becoming a voting member of our national association, you support and gain access to our members only services that includes access to new research, funding opportunities, advocacy of the "SBYD Way," and promotion of your successes and job openings.

Further as an organizational member, any staff of a member organization is eligible to access member-only services.

Member services:

  • Free access to YSCN’s exclusive national research of SBYD nonprofits.
    Current research includes 2020 and 2021 State of Sports-Based Youth Development in the US  Reports that documents SBYD pre-COVID operations, first 6 months of COVID and 18 months of COVID. Findings from 2020 and 2021 reports.
  • Advocacy touting the youth development benefits of SBYD programs at the state and city level based on YSCN’s unique research.
  • YSCN's leadership role in building a youth sports coalitions led to the passing of New York legislation establishing a $5 million state grant program from mobile sports tax revenue for sports nonprofits serving under-served youth.   • Free member promotion of program accomplishments, awards received, and job openings in YSCN's e-newsletter, SBYD NewsBrief  -- several hundred and growing subscriber base of SBYD leadership, program staff and coaches; foundation leadership and staff, and government officials.
  • Exclusive Notices of Grant and Awards Opportunities, both local and national, for SBYD programs.

Future services

  • Preferred Member Pricing for services such as background screening for staff and volunteers, fundraising software systems, credited sports management programs, and sports equipment – member suggestions welcomed.

  • A members job listings on the YSCN Website.
  • Online Member Directory for Members only -- providing contact info of member employees
  • Searchable Public Directory of Members on the YSCN website – Allowing parents to find a local SBYD program for their children and for prospective volunteers and supporters to connect with local organizations.

 Both nonprofit and for profit organizations may become members. Review membership dues to determine your organization’s annual dues to become a Voting Member.
