About Us

The Youth Sports Collaborative Network (YSCN) was created by Rob Smith who serves as the Founding Executive Director.  Rob is also President of association management firm NetSmith Services and manages the day-to-day operations of YSCN. Rob is applying his 30 years of association/nonprofit management experience in creating YSCN to help provide sports-based youth development (SBYD) nonprofits with the latest information and research on nonprofit and SBYD practices while also providing effective advocacy on behalf of its members. 

 Rob has:

• Over 30 years experience as executive director of national, member-based associations,
• Formed and launched 3 new associations,
• Extensive experience in managing small staff associations,
• Organized state and national advocacy campaigns, and
• Served in several youth sports positions including communications director for the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association, and youth soccer coordinator for the women’s professional soccer team the Washington Spirit.
